Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee our organisation’s ongoing operations and procedures. The COO role is a newly established position within the company, strategically designed to enable the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) stronger focus on growth opportunities and strategic planning, while the COO manages the day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (Production, Fulfilment, Technology, HR, Compliance, Customer Services).
* Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures.
* Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth.
* Establish policies that promote company culture and vision.
* Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
* Evaluate performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics.
* Make sure compliances are met with regulations, quality standards and safety protocols.
* Work closely with sales, finance, and marketing to ensure operations and company objectives are met.
* Use metrics and Continuous Improvement Practices to identify and improve areas for process improvements, cost, make ready and waste reduction.
* Work closely with CEO and leadership team in developing the company strategy
* Assist CEO in business and corporate development activities.
The successful candidate will meet all or most of the following:
* Experience: Proven experience as a COO or similar leadership role in a related industry. Experience in a senior management position within a Printing and Fulfilment business would be highly advantageous.
* Industry Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of offset and digital printing and binding operations with demonstrable experience in the implementation of processes and workflows.
* Leadership Skills: Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development. Strong aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving. Natural leader with the ability to develop strong operational teams.
* Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
* Analytical Skills: Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.

Health Safety & Environment
Escalate health and safety issues to the Production Manager and Compliance Manager
Comply with all health and safety rules, policies, and procedures, including any specific named responsibilities detailed with the H&S Handbook/policy.
Abide by and support the company’s ISO 14001 environmental certificate. Ensure the secure disposal of wastepaper in line with the company policy and procedures.
Security
Abide by and support the company’s ISO 27001 Security certificate.
General:
Adhere to Page Bros procedures and policies, ensuring the completion of all assigned activities to a high standard. Help foster a tidy and clean working environment for all employees.
Take active responsibility for personal professional growth and development within the role. This will include the identification and training, and other developmental opportunities at regular review meetings and through ongoing dialogue with the CEO.
