About The Role
FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking an Enterprise Architect to work for our client within the Energy sector. This is initially a 6 month contract with the potential to extend.
Our client is looking for a talented Enterprise Architect who will liaise with business units in order to understand their future strategy and architecture needs. They will provide an expert service across digital technology and contribute to the development and communication of Enterprise Architecture governance, standards, tools and techniques.
Responsibilities
* Work with the demand and governance function to provide a continuous view of architecture demands including timelines and resource requirements.
* Understand the relationship between people, processes, information, technology and things of the enterprise, and their relationships to one another and to the external environment.
* Proactively research and provide architectural suggestions/options to the UK support Functions, highlighting how they can add business value.
* Represent the UK on Architecture user groups and guilds, providing information on the UK architecture to functions where required.
* Own the local architecture board, UK representation at the Lead Architecture group and UK Lean IX data.
* Support vendor evaluations within the pillars, ensuring alignment with E.ON UKs and EDTs architecture strategy and governance processes.
* Understand the UK and EDT architecture strategies and help to ensure these align.
About You
Requirements
* Knowledge and experience of Enterprise Architecture.
* Experience of successfully managing architecture requirements on behalf of a business.
* In-depth technical knowledge of a wide range of IT systems and technologies with knowledge of the major technologies and applications used on site with our client.
* Experience in vendor selection and management and working within a regulated environment.
* Strong business and stakeholder management with the ability to establish, develop and maintain effective relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Ability to think strategically and understand business challenges with strong financial and commercial awareness.
* Ability to identify, communicate and solve complex problems.
* Good understanding of the political sensitivities of a complex business and how to navigate these to ensure suitable outcomes for the organisation.
