Shifts: Rotating 3-shift system (Monday-Friday)

About the Role:
We're currently seeking a Chemical Process Operator to join a high-performing team within a well-established chemical manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role with excellent opportunities for long-term career development and progression.
As a key member of the production team, you'll play a vital role in operating and monitoring chemical processes to world-class standards—ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency are consistently delivered.
What You'll Be Doing:
Safety First, Always
1. Champion a safety-first mindset and actively participate in site safety programmes
2. Operate processes within clearly defined safety and environmental limits
3. Support incident reporting and investigations to drive continuous improvement
4. Follow strict housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and safe environment
5. Provide thorough handovers to ensure operational continuity and safety
Process Operations
1. Operate chemical processes following SOPs and batch sheets
2. Monitor plant performance, troubleshoot issues, and identify process improvements
3. Complete batch documentation and data logs accurately and in real-time
4. Support shift leaders with production meeting attendance and reporting
5. Report maintenance issues using the on-site CMMS and help drive timely resolution
Team Contribution & Development
1. Work collaboratively with production, engineering, and QC teams
2. Take part in training and cross-skilling opportunities
3. Help maintain and improve Standard Operating Procedures
What We're Looking For:
1. Previous experience in chemical process operations—ideally on a COMAH-regulated site
2. City & Guilds Process Operations qualification (or similar), or significant hands-on experience
3. Strong awareness of HSE regulations, COSHH, and safe systems of work
4. Forklift and/or MEWP experience (desirable but not essential)
5. Confidence in troubleshooting and suggesting process improvements
6. Team player with a proactive and reliable work ethic
7. First Aid trained and/or Risk Assessment experience would be a bonus
