Job title: ILS/IPS Engineer (Maintenance)

Salary: Up to 42,500 depending on skills and experience.
What you'll be doing:
* You will review and analyse ship design data to produce ILS deliverables.
* Carry out verification and validation of sub-contractor engineering data deliverables.
* You will validate the work of other engineers within the team (peer review of RCM studies and PSTW reviews).
* Liaise with the wider support teams to ensure consistency in data/information.
* Work with Naval Ships design teams to validate design deliverables.
* Work across various disciplines to contribute to the production of quality support products including maintenance schedules, technical publications, and spares.
* You will produce technical reports to support analysis and derived maintenance.
* Assist team engineers in the production and upkeep of processes and instructions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the ILS/IPS outputs.
* Conduct Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) studies to create maintenance schedules.
* Conduct Pre-Set to Work (PSTW) reviews of RCM studies to incorporate engineering change and confirm suitability of derived maintenance.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Good Knowledge of engineering principles and understanding of the ILS/IPS suite of disciplines.
* Knowledge and experience of either Electrical / Mechanical systems.
* The ability to identify and mitigate issues in the development of engineering solutions.
* Ability to read and analyse schematic diagrams and technical documentation and analyse technical problems and provide solutions within the digital environment.
Desirable:
* Degree/HNC or equivalent experience in a relevant Engineering or Science based discipline.
* Experience of utilising databases and understanding configuration requirements.
* Knowledge in a Support environment that caters for military equipment.
* Familiar with production of support products such as maintenance schedules, technical documentation, FMECA and RCM. We will provide relevant training for any of the above desirables required for your role.
* Working knowledge of the principles of one or more of DefStan 00-25, 00-45, 00-600, JSP 886, BR1313 and DLF.

The ILS/IPS Engineer - Maintenance team:
As an ILS/IPS Engineer - Maintenance, you will be working within a team responsible for influencing the operability and maintainability of the platform, analysing systems and spatial design and the design, production, supply and maintenance of the support products required by the platform in service. This role will provide you with the opportunity to influence operations and maintenance, supporting complex solutions, whilst being able to develop your capabilities within Support Engineering within a dynamic and challenging environment.
