Job summary We have an exciting opportunity to join the healthcare team at HMP Buckley Hall as the practice nurse. The role will entail oversight of patients with long term conditions, health promotion and upkeep of rolling vaccination programme. Candidate also required to assist with Primary Care duties and medication administrations. A passion for promoting good health is essential. We are a busy service that needs to respond to the needs of our patients so a flexible approach is required. Main duties of the job We are seeking an experienced and committed nurse to join our clinical team and the successful candidate will be a fully qualified registered first level Nurse with experience in primary care, public health qualification and the management of Long Term Conditions. The focus of the role is the delivery of evidence-based practice for patients with long-term conditions and management and preventative nursing interventions to all patients. Although this is the main purpose of the post, the post holder will also be required to provide a practice nurse service including wound care, and immunisation as required within the Secure Environments business unit.
