Responsibilities:
As a Junior Associate, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced associates globally. You will collaborate with the corporate team, assisting private equity firms with various tasks, including:
* Draft and negotiate M&A pipeline documents, such as non-disclosure agreements, offer letters, consulting agreements, reliance/non-reliance letters, and engagement letters;
* Directly counsel clients, providing valuable real-world legal experience;
* Perform general corporate duties, including maintaining the register of members and directors, preparing special resolutions, issuing share certificates, and filing documents at Companies House;
* Collaborate with clients to compile essential data for the creation and ongoing updates of structure charts;
* Design, implement, and maintain precise corporate structure charts, ensuring they represent current ownership and corporate linkages;
* Monitor project timelines, compile weekly progress reports, and communicate updates to clients;
* Support the drafting, reviewing, and management of legal documentation for corporate transactions. Handle the preparation, filing, and management of business entity documents with State agencies for corporations, LLCs, and partnerships;
* Ensure strict adherence to legal compliance and regulations;
* Engage with the development team and employ legal software and tools to boost the efficiency and precision of legal services;
* Support private equity firms in the disposal/issuance of assets and shares.
Requirements:
* Law degree or GDL equivalent.
* LPC/SQE preferred but not necessary.
Skills:
* Ability to work effectively within a small team.
* Attention to detail and independent work capabilities.
* Basic IT skills and conceptual, analytical, and critical thinking.
* Ambitious, self-motivated, and willing to learn.
* Ability to use initiative.

Salary: up to RM92,000 per annum
Depending on experience. English proficiency requirements - the applicant must be fluent and comfortable with English 100% of the time. The work is entirely performed in English. We are looking for applicants with a C2 level of English (CEFR), as attested by one of the following proficiency tests:
* Cambridge: CPE
* IELTS: >8.0
* TOEFL iBT: >110
