About The Role
We are seeking a Business Development Manager - TPI Public Sector Sales to join our expanding and award-winning sales team. This field-based role involves engaging with senior stakeholders to expand Ecotricity’s Third Party Intermediary channel within the Public Sector, aligning with growth forecasts. Responsibilities include account management of existing and new TPIs, such as energy consultants and brokers, and collaborating with finance, operational, and customer service teams to ensure financial health and excellent service delivery.
The role also involves influencing B2B sales strategies, maximizing efficiency, and supporting new product launches. It requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to handle a varied and challenging workload.
Responsibilities include:
* Achieving sales targets aligned with the B2B plan
* Developing and maintaining the Public Sector TPI portfolio
* Seeking new framework agreements and ensuring ongoing compliance
* Delivering excellent customer service and building strong relationships
* Providing quotations for Gas and Power contracts, negotiating terms
* Collaborating with the team and other departments to promote the company’s brand and offerings
* Innovating to expand the customer base and supporting product launches
* Participating in client meetings and business pitches, managing client registrations
* Working with KPIs and reporting tools
About You
You should have a passion for sustainability and a dynamic approach, with experience in identifying opportunities and a strong commercial acumen. Excellent communication skills, innovative thinking, and alignment with our values are essential.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Understanding of the energy industry (desirable)
* Experience in utilities (advantageous)
* Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, SAP or similar CRM, and Microsoft Office
* Analytical skills, relationship management, and strategic thinking
* Strong numeracy, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work under pressure
