Job Description:
The Associate Director for Student Engagement & Traditions (SET) is responsible for the oversight of more than 200 student organizations and the planning and implementation of several campus programming initiatives. This position supervises a full-time Coordinator for Programming and Graduate Assistant and reports to the Executive Director for SET.
As a member of the SET team, the Associate Director will serve as a leader within our Campus Involvement team. In this role, they will oversee training and development for our student organization community, lead the planning of campus traditions like Senior Brunch and Toast and Family Weekend, and advise our student media organizations. Minimum Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education, or related field required.
2. Considerable knowledge of trends in student training and learning.
3. Considerable knowledge of group development.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Full time work experience supervising or advising students.
6. Considerable experience planning, executing, and evaluating events and programming.
7. Some experience writing policy and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
8. Some experience supervising staff.
9. Some direct experience advising student organizations.
