Wild Bio is a well-funded, fast-paced Oxford University spin-out working from state-of-the-art labs and offices at Milton Park, Oxfordshire. We are about to enter an exciting phase of growth and are looking for a highly organised and motivated Finance Assistant to join us and significantly contribute to delivering the change we believe in. The role: We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support our Finance Lead. This role will be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting day-to-day financial operations. Detailed responsibilities: • Process supplier invoices, payments, credit card transactions and expense claims accurately and in a timely manner. • Reconcile bank statements/credit cards and financial records. • Reconciling monthly balance sheet accounts and preparing adjustment journals. • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. • Maintain and update financial data in accounting systems. • Support internal audits and compliance checks. • Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes. Knowledge and skills: • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role. • Good Excel skills. • Knowledge in financial software – ideally Xero. • Understanding of basic accounting principles. • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. This is a part-time, hybrid role for 22.5 hours per week, requiring 1-2 days in the office each week. The successful candidate will be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
