Our client a leading manufacturer in Leeds is seeking a Factory Operative to join its operations team. The Role: The Factory Operative will take on a range of responsibilities to support daily operations, including: Sanding, rubbing, and masking paintwork on transformers and other products. Preparing stencils and jigs, and painting markings on products. Using hand tools for various tasks. Adhering to quality processes and procedures to ensure high standards. Performing general housekeeping duties inside and outside the factory. Completing tasks within production targets and timelines. Collaborating with colleagues to meet operational goals. Candidate Requirements: The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and physically fit, with a flexible and proactive approach to work. While manufacturing experience is desirable, full training will be provided. Key attributes include: Strong written and verbal communication skills. A positive, ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to work unsupervised. Willingness to adapt to different tasks across the factory as needed. Ideally, experience working in a continuous improvement environment.
