About the Role:
Are you a fully qualified accountant? Do you have experience of budgeting and monitoring complex activities?
An opportunity exists for a qualified and experienced accountant to join WMG to provide financial management, planning and budgetary support for the High Value Manufacturing Catapult programme (~£20m pa) and associated projects.
The successful candidate will provide management information for the financial planning and monitoring of project activities and work closely with the project delivery teams in a business partnering role to provide related advice and guidance. In addition, you will assist with the management of financial processes and oversee compliance with external funder rules.
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
About You:
You will have demonstrable experience in the preparation and reporting of complex and varied financial information, including costing of new proposals, budgeting and forecasting. You will be a skilled accountant who can quickly identify issues and provide timely formulation and modelling of potential solutions. You will have a high degree of accuracy and be a strong communicator even when under pressure.
You will hold a recognised CCAB qualification and be a high-level user of financial software, in particular Excel - Power Query/BI and Word.
