Job Overview: As a Survey & Positioning Asset Engineer with Global Edge Group, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the S&P Asset Manager within our Aberdeen Office. This position requires UK residency and full, permanent right-to-work status, as sponsorship is not offered.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure efficient utilization of survey-supplied equipment.
* Maintain accurate records of equipment movements, calibrations, and test reports using asset tracking software.
* Ensure all equipment meets survey quality standards prior to deployment.
* Liaise with third-party vendors to supplement asset equipment spreads.
* Support logistical departments with transport coordination to/from project sites.
* Resolve technical issues with offshore teams and suppliers.
* Plan and implement procurement requests for equipment, spares, and consumables.
* Contribute to R&D efforts within the Survey Asset team, exploring new technologies and improving solutions.
Requirements:
* College degree or industry training in survey-related electronic engineering.
* Basic understanding of offshore survey operations and export regulations.
* 2-3 years of experience in installing and interfacing survey equipment and sensors.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe.
* Experience in an onshore support environment.
Compensation Package: The estimated salary for this role is £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
