Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Trial Manager within the School of Medicine, Mental Health & Clinical Neurosciences. You will be based at the Queen's Medical Centre Campus and will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team undertaking many multi-centre UK and international stroke trials.
Responsibilities
1. Support the Chief Investigator and Senior Clinical Trial Manager with HR, staffing (including recruitment and induction), trial governance, and report writing.
2. Lead and manage administrative staff to ensure the smooth running of the department.
3. Oversee site monitoring visits at clinical trial centres.
4. Co-ordinate trial set-up and close-down procedures, day-to-day issues, follow-up visits, and telephone calls for trials conducted by the Stroke Trials Team.
5. Manage trial documentation and centres to deliver research goals in accordance with ICH-GCP guidelines.
6. Travel within the UK may be required to attend conferences and research sites.

Contract Details
The post is offered on a fixed-term contract for 12 months in the first instance to cover maternity leave. Arrangements for job share may be considered. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours per week, 7.25 hours per day Monday to Friday); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part-time and the number of preferred hours.
