Offer Description
The successful candidate will assist research activities to support the Mental Health Guidelines for the United Kingdom and Ireland Community Sport research project.
The post holder will:
* Assist in recruitment of participants, data collection, and analysis.
* Contribute to produce high-quality research outputs in oral and written format, consistent with project aims and commensurate with career stage. This will include collaborating and co-authoring with PI and project team (as appropriate) on outputs.
* In consultation with the project team, promote research milestones and outputs at national and international conferences.
* Assist grant holder in the preparation of funding proposals and applications to external bodies.
* Carry out occasional educational supervision, demonstrating or lecturing duties within the post holder's area of expertise and under the direct guidance of a member of academic staff.
* Undertake supplementary duties relevant to the success of the project including administrative duties and additional training and development activities as required.
About the person:
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
* Have or about to obtain a degree in Psychology. Working towards an MSc in the area of mental health.
Research and Associated Activities Recent relevant experience to include:
* Conducting interviews or focus groups.
* Reviewing academic research in mental health.
* A publication record which is commensurate with career stage and experience.
* Experience of conducting research in mental health and sport.

Fixed-term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
