About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of the pupils. Working alongside experienced teachers and support staff, you will help create a safe and engaging learning environment tailored to each child's individual needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting children with profound and multiple learning disabilities in the classroom.
* Assisting with personal care tasks such as feeding, toileting, and changing, always ensuring the dignity and comfort of each child.
* Helping to implement personalised learning plans and therapeutic activities.
* Building strong, trusting relationships with children, families, and the wider team.
* Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
* Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.
Who we’re looking for:
* Experience in a caring or support role is highly valued — many carers find this role a natural and fulfilling next step.
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Willingness to assist with personal care and manual handling (full training provided).
* Good communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting children with complex needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
