We're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to operate EnTrade's online markets efficiently and maintain our reputation as a high integrity environmental market operator. Can you ensure a high level of customer service and a seamless customer journey?
You will be responsible for providing an excellent customer experience for:
* businesses seeking to achieve their environmental goals;
* landholders who want to develop and maintain projects that support nature recovery;
* local planning authorities who need to verify that EnTrade markets comply with planning requirements.
You will be responsible for ensuring that EnTrade's operations are run to the highest quality standards and can demonstrate its compliance with market rules and emerging regulation.
What you'll do
* operate EnTrade markets, monitor their contribution to overall company performance, and deliver operational efficiencies to grow the business
* manage the day-to-day operations of EnTrade, establish and develop company policies, implementing necessary changes and adhering to compliance procedures, laws and regulation including the Environmental Market Rules
* build the capabilities in EnTrade that will enable scalability and repeatability and meet the Market Fee revenue projections in its Business Plan
* be a part of the Senior Management Team, overseeing the operation and growth of the business
* develop and maintain customer service standards for EnTrade and embed a culture of Customer Service Excellence within the team
* develop and maintain control processes within EnTrade including its policies and procedures; skills and training programme; systems maintenance; monitoring and feedback loops; and culture and practices
* develop and improve operational processes, constantly looking for efficiency improvements and streamlining of delivery to reduce EnTrade's operating costs, improve its efficiency as a market operator and ensure the profitability of its market operations
* develop and maintain an internal audit culture, manage the relationship with the external auditor and drive a continuous improvement programme informed by an annual external audit
* improve the functionality and user experience of the EnTrade platform, particularly for its project and credit registries as a service to Local Authorities and regulators.
What you'll need
To succeed in this role, you will have:
* professional qualification in operational management or another business-related area
* strong leadership and communication skills for training and motivating teams
* experience of generating business growth through developing and maintaining efficient business systems and processes
* experience of supporting the development of digital solutions
* excellent project management skills with the ability to adapt these according to needs of individual projects
* experience of contract management and managing relationships with clients and subcontractors
* experience of budget management
* experience of managing operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity whilst maintaining customer service excellence
* organisational ability, able to work at pace with a track record of meeting deadlines
* ability to work independently using own initiative and judgement, as well as part of an effective team
* excellent presentation skills (written and verbal) and ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people using a range of media
* computer literate and able to use MS Office with knowledge and experience in the use of GIS and other remote technology
* flexible and positive outlook with a solution-led focus
* enthusiasm and self-motivation
* tact, diplomacy and integrity
* strong understanding of, commitment to and enthusiasm for the vision, values and work of EnTrade and the role of the private sector in contributing to nature recovery.
