Location:
This position is based in the Commercial and Civil litigation department and answers to our Head of Department. You will be located at our Manchester Office but may at times be required to travel to our other offices. This role is not a remote working role.
Responsibilities:
1. Handle a caseload of civil and commercial litigation matters, including but not limited to contract disputes, personal injury claims, property disputes, and professional negligence cases.
2. Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide sound legal advice to clients.
3. Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and mediations.
4. Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
5. Maintain accurate and detailed records of case progress and communications with clients.
Requirements:
1. Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 1 year of post-qualification experience in civil litigation. We do not consider experience primarily in personal injury work as civil litigation experience.
2. Strong knowledge of civil procedure rules and relevant laws.
3. Excellent analytical, research, and drafting skills.
4. Proven track record of successfully handling a variety of civil litigation cases.
5. Exceptional communication and advocacy skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
7. Commitment to providing exceptional client service and achieving positive results.
8. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new challenges in the legal field.
