A leading specialist Roofing contractor are looking to recruit a Buyer to work from their office in Redditch, Worcestershire.
This is an exciting time for a Buyer to join a successful team.
The Role:
1. Sourcing and Procurement: Identifying and selecting suppliers for roofing and cladding materials, equipment, and services.
2. Negotiation: Negotiating prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable contracts.
3. Cost Management: Analyzing and managing project costs, including material costs, labor costs, and subcontractor costs.
4. Inventory Management: Managing inventory levels to ensure that materials are available when needed, while minimizing waste and storage costs.
5. Contract Negotiation: Reviewing and negotiating contracts with suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements and legal regulations.
6. Supplier Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
7. Market Research: Staying informed about market trends, new products, and technologies in the roofing and cladding industry.

They work across many sectors including Health, Education, MOD, Custodial, Retail, Leisure & Residential. Their services involve design, supply, installation, and construction for many major organizations throughout the country, including main contractors, management contractors, architects, and end clients.
The Person:
It is likely you will have previously worked as either a Buyer or Commercial Manager in a similar roofing and cladding building environment.
What You Will Have:
Experience with some or all of the following:
1. Single Ply roofing systems
2. Zinc Roofing / Cladding
3. Green / Sedum roofing
4. Liquid waterproofing systems
5. Built up felt roofing
6. Fall arrest systems
7. Architectural balustrades / handrails
