Are you an enthusiastic individual looking for a new challenge within the care sector? Priory Adult Care is looking for a creative activities co-ordinator to join our team at our service Collinson Court in Stoke on Trent
Collinson Court provides support for individuals with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour, offering people the chance to live in a homely environment whilst accessing a quality service from caring, competent and well trained staff. We have an on site sensory room, an activities room as well as lots of outside space.
The Role
As activities co-ordinator you will look to create, plan and organise an interesting and varied program of daily activities, entertainment and events, promoting the wellbeing of the residents. Duties may include the following:
1. Liaise with external companies to organise entertainment
2. Listening to the residents though conversation and questionnaires to aid producing a popular program of events/activities/entertainment
3. Develop a rapport with local community churches, schools, gyms ect.
4. Applicant will need to pre plan and risk assess activities before they take place.
About you:
We are looking for a cheerful, outgoing, passionate individual with a creative flair. The ideal person will be organised and have some experience working with in the care sector, therefore being able to understand the needs of residents aiding activity choices.
