As a Cook at Gazelle Dates, you will play a key role in preparing and serving delicious breakfast and lunch dishes. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality food is prepared efficiently and presented beautifully.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare and cook breakfast dishes to order, ensuring freshness and quality.
2. Prepare mise en place (prep work) for lunch service, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and organizing ingredients.
3. Cook vegetables, chicken, and meat dishes according to established recipes and standards.
4. Prepare and serve sandwiches, ensuring they are made to order and presented attractively.
5. Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
6. Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.
7. Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
Requirements
1. Some experience in cooking, preferably in a café, restaurant, or similar setting.
2. Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices.
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
4. Strong attention to detail and a passion for food preparation.
5. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
6. Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
