You will support them to be high performing fundraisers, to reach their annual income targets; provide training/coaching or shadowing where needed; oversee their attainment of a small but crucial set of KPIs; offer support as needed to their Youth Zone Chairs/Trustees; provide career development opportunities and pastoral care.Within the first twelve months of the role you will also hold a small portfolio of capital funding prospects for a single capital campaign (c15 prospects), working alongside the Head of Philanthropy (Capital Campaigns).As a member of the Fundraising & Marketing Leadership Team you will help the department maintain a positive culture, support each other, and lead on activities that raises the game of the whole team.About you:As Head of Philanthropy you will be an experienced Major Donor fundraiser with line management experience, who is excited by the challenge to support a team of Major Donor fundraisers passionate about transforming life and opportunities for young people in a local communities around the country.Other skills and experience you will need include:Demonstrable track record of income generation through personally securing six figure major donor gifts from HNW individualsExperience of developing a new pipeline of HNWI prospects and being pro-active in converting these to active donorsExperience of delivering effective and practical fundraising strategiesExperience of working with Trustees or senior volunteers to drive successExperience of working with and influencing senior leaders and peers within an organisationExperience of successfully motivating and leading fundraising teams to achieve challenging targetsAbility to make presentations at Board level and to other senior, or large, audiencesAbility to work flexibly, including some evenings and occasional nights away from home, and willingness to travel to meet potential supporters as required.To apply, please submit a CV and cover letter (of not more than one page), explaining clearly why you are interested in the role and how you feel you are suited to it in line with the person specification.Anonymous ApplicationsWe recognise that the workforce is under-represented in certain areas and are committed to addressing this.
