About the role
As a supply chain co-ordinator, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all supply chain and transport activities, from customer orders through to final delivery. You will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless, efficient supply chain process, working closely with both internal teams and external logistics partners.
This is a fast-paced role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively to deliver outstanding customer service.
Key responsibilities
* Order processing & management – ensure all incoming orders are processed accurately and align with minimum order values (MOV), agreed pricing, and lead times.
* Transport & logistics coordination – work closely with hauliers to plan efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely and cost-effective distribution across the UK & Ireland.
* Customer & internal communication – act as a primary point of contact, providing updates, handling queries, and resolving delivery issues promptly.
* Booking & routing deliveries – schedule delivery slots via customer websites, email, or phone, managing bookings and rescheduling as required.
* Issue resolution & compliance – investigate and resolve delivery discrepancies, shortages, damages, and returns, ensuring compliance with good distribution practice (GDP).
* Performance & efficiency tracking – maintain KPIs and customer service levels (CSL), contributing to continuous improvements in supply chain performance.
What we’re looking for
Essential skills & experience:
* Previous experience in a supply chain, transport, or logistics role (FMCG experience desirable).
* Strong numerical ability, accuracy, and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively at all levels.
* Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Ability to prioritise workloads and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a customer-first approach.
* Good geographical knowledge of the UK and Ireland.
