An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Gas Engineer to join our Energy Operations team in the North West here at Cadent! Colleagues working with the Energy Operations team are responsible for the operation and maintenance of all pressure regulating installations, pipelines, and their associated systems, efficiently, effectively, and safely., The Successful Lead Gas Engineer will have a variety of responsibilities, no two days will be the same. The below should give you an idea as to the types of tasks you will be getting involved with, Energy Operations aims to create a versatile team with new responsibilities for maintaining pressure control assets.
* Maintenance Tasks:
Team members will perform maintenance on pressure regulating installations up to 85 bar, following company policies and procedures.
* Fault Response:
They will address faults identified by Cadent control systems within specified service level agreement times.
* Plant Protection Activities:
This includes advising third-party companies on the impact of their work on Cadent assets and supervising nearby excavations.
* Pipeline and Asset Monitoring: The team will conduct pipeline inspections, maintenance, and condition monitoring, ensuring compliance with company policies., Here at Cadent, we are committed to supporting our employees to get the best out of themselves. For this role in particular we can offer:

We're looking for people who act with pride, purpose, and ownership to join the team, along with:
* Ideally, proven, and demonstrable experience of working in gas asset operation and maintenance.
* Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering activities is essential, qualification desirable.
* Hold a full valid UK driving licence.
* Are willing to work flexible hours, including standby and shift work, and also attend training
