Are you a Band 6 Occupational Therapist looking for a new challenge or an experienced Band 5 seeking your first band 6 role? If the answer is “yes”, we would love to hear from you! We would also consider a Band 5 developmental role.
We are looking for highly motivated, passionate and enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent holistic care and interventions. You will be able to be creative and be resourceful in your approach to client rehabilitation using your clinical skills to assess and create rehabilitation plans for a varied caseload of patients.
As a B6 Occupational Therapist you will also be responsible for providing supervision, support and education to other junior therapists and rehabilitation support workers. You will have the opportunity to provide clinical practice education opportunities to students on placements. There would be the chance to be involved in service development opportunities and audits. There is a commitment to evidence based practice and you will be encouraged to look for opportunities to promote this within the teams and seek out potential research projects.

• To undertake specialised uni-professional and multi-professional assessments. To develop and implement treatment plans for clients referred to the Barnet Intermediate Care Service including Falls and Early Stoke Discharge Service. These clients may present with a variety of complex multi-pathologies within specialist areas, including neurological conditions.
• To participate in the Single Assessment Process when appropriate, performing overview assessments and complex specialist assessments as appropriate. To communicate relevant medical information, assessment details, advice and recommendations across agencies and with clients in compliance with trust guidelines for sharing of information and informed consent. These agencies include General Practitioners, Social Services, healthcare professionals, voluntary agencies, and residential homes.
• To be responsible for gaining valid, informed consent for assessment, treatment interventions and sharing of information in compliance with legal and professional guidelines. To be able to interpret and follow these guidelines in circumstances where clients do not have capacity to provide informed consent.
• To have working knowledge of clinical guidelines; specific to the area you are working in and, with the guidance of your supervisor, to translate these guidelines into clinical practice.
