The role involves the following:
1. Leading design delivery of the CS&A elements of the projects, linking with the CS&A Responsible Engineer and collaborating with Safety, Quality and other engineering disciplines to meet project objectives and key milestones.
2. Authoring, checking and supervising delivery of CS&A design tasks (designs, drawings, assessments, and reports).
3. Monitoring and reporting progress against delivery schedules.
4. Liaison with stakeholders (plant personnel, system engineers, construction team, etc.).
5. Undertake site inspections/stakeholder walkdowns to confirm design scope and to develop design solutions.
6. Production of design and assessment calculation packages, CS&A documents, and input into multi-discipline documents (e.g., NFR’s, BoD, OIMS, RA’s, and DJRs).
7. Occasional need to provide oversight and review of supply chain produced deliverables to enable RE acceptance (including CS&A design deliverables and Temporary Works scaffold brief and approvals).
Essential experience:
* General all-round civil and structural design experience required, with experience working on alterations and modifications to existing structures among other asset care type projects.
* Demonstrate strong leadership behaviors to drive timely delivery of an engineering schedule to quality and cost.
* Experience of managing projects, developing schedules and estimates, and managing stakeholders.
Essential qualifications:
* Incorporated Engineer with the IStructE or ICE (minimum).
Desirable experience:
* Experienced in delivering work for SL (preferred).
* Chartered Engineer with the IStructE or ICE (preferred).
* Experienced in writing safety case documents (e.g., DARs and DJRs Substantiation) (preferred).
* A strong understanding of the challenges faced working on asset care tasks in the nuclear sector (preferred).
Desirable qualifications:
* Monitored Worker (preferred).
* Experience using searching for SL information in Cimage and Icepac (preferred).
* Proficient in the use of Tedds and Staad Pro (preferred).
