Finance Manager – Lanarkshire
Salary: Up to £65k plus benefits and hybrid working
Lusona is partnering with a well-known charity in Lanarkshire to recruit a Finance Manager. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead financial operations, collaborate with the senior leadership team on strategic plans, and drive transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee financial recording, reporting, and forecasting.
* Provide financial advice to the Trustees and CEO.
* Manage day-to-day financial operations.
* Contribute to organisational strategy as a member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), shaping transformational change and fostering an inclusive culture.
* Monitor the annual operating budget, ensuring financial targets are met and compliance with regulations.
* Manage SAGE for recording, reporting, and budgeting.
* Manage internal payroll (including pension contributions).
* Maximise Gift Aid income and charitable VAT benefits.
* Collaborate with the CEO on reporting and monitoring to meet governance needs.
* Work with department managers on annual and project budgets.
* Provide regular budget monitoring reports to the Board of Trustees, subcommittees, CEO, and department managers.
* Liaise with auditors and oversee financial accounts preparation.
* Support the Income Generation Team with costings for external communications and funding applications.
* Prepare and submit corporation tax and VAT returns.
* Develop and maintain financial systems, policies, and procedures, including an internal audit program.
* Monitor external contracts and supplier services for effectiveness and value.
* Monitor investment performance, liaise with the broker, and provide forecasts.
* Support the annual planning process and strategic planning.
* Line manage the IT Manager and three direct reports.
Essential Requirements:
* Professional Accountancy Qualification.
* Experience working in the charity or not-for-profit sector (preferred).
