Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
Demonstrable experience in estimating, ideally with prior team management responsibilities.
Proficiency in cost analysis, supplier negotiations, and delivering high-quality pricing outputs.
Familiarity with estimating tools and a strong understanding of commercial supply chain dynamics.
Proven ability to manage multiple contracts and maintain profitability.
The Role
As the Estimating Manager, you will lead a skilled team to deliver accurate, competitive estimates while adhering to company standards. This role requires collaboration with internal departments and external suppliers to optimise cost management processes, ensuring all outputs align with client requirements and contribute to company success.
Duties
Supervise a team of estimators to produce high-quality, competitive estimates across a range of contracts.
Verify technical information, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company protocols.
Compile and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost efficiency.
Administer additional workstreams, addressing any nonconformance issues.
Develop and deliver training to enhance team performance and accuracy.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement.
Generate management reports to track team performance and profitability.
Support the development of processes that are both operationally effective and commercially viable.
Salary & Package
This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary and benefits package (55k to £60k plus Package) for the right candidate.
