Job Title: Financial Controls & Compliance Advisor

We’re looking for a Financial Controls & Compliance Advisor to join our Corporate Finance team based in London. Our Financial Controls and Compliance team (‘FCC’) collaboratively works with the finance/management teams to improve identified process and control weaknesses and inefficiencies, supporting our stakeholders throughout this time to ensure that they have a thorough understanding of such changes.
They work with the finance/management teams to ensure the recommendations of last year’s internal audit from our US parent company are progressed in line with required timescales and support our facilities alongside our corporate office to prepare for forthcoming audits.
FCC is also responsible for internal financial policies, key controls, and SOX Controls. This role will also work closely with the Statutory & Technical Accountant, in collaborating with our external auditors, ensuring that all aspects of the audit go smoothly.

As a Financial Controls & Compliance Advisor you will have the opportunity to:
Responsibilities:
1. Review employee system access (SOX controls).
2. Work with relevant staff to implement new procedures, processes and controls as required.
3. Track the current status of all internal audit recommendations and manage the process of implementation of the recommendations and report any problem areas.
4. Be responsible for the review of one-off payments.
5. Monitor compliance of the FCPA requirements around payments to agents.
6. Test consultant disbursements quarterly to ensure compliance with agreements and policies.
7. Document new policies and procedures and ensure they are issued to relevant staff and implemented.
8. Monitor compliance with internal policies.
9. Ensure Finance policies are updated.
10. Assist with the external audit (e.g. preparing TB’s, drafting statutory accounts; preparing schedules; monitoring outstanding items etc).
11. Assist with the internal US audit (e.g. reviewing the quality and accuracy of information provided by sites before sending out to the US).
12. Track monthly financial reporting submissions from hospital site teams.
13. Update and track bi-annual control checklists and ensure any issues are dealt with.
14. Any other projects as required.
