Medical Records Clerk
Location: Woodland & Glendon Wood Hospital, Kettering
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Full-time
Salary: Depending on experiences + Benefits
Summary:
Woodland Hospital is one of Northamptonshire's leading private hospitals located in Kettering. The hospital offers a wide range of treatments and services, including advanced medical technology and a fully equipped theatre suite.
The role:
The successful applicant will be highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and have the ability to deliver an efficient provision of Medical Records. You will need to have the ability to organise and prioritise your workload and the workload of the team whilst working under pressure, be target driven and have a proven track record of achieving results.
The role will report in to the Medical Records Team Lead and work with Outpatient and Inpatient Teams, Clinical Teams, Senior Managers, Consultants and Consultant Secretaries.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure Medical Records information is available at all times through close liaison with the Outpatient and Inpatient Booking teams.
2. Ensure case notes are compiled on a timely basis for outpatient clinics.
3. Ensure the filing of blood, pathology and x-ray reports is completed on an ongoing basis.
4. Locating and creating TCI notes for the ward.
5. Maintain the archiving and storage of Medical Records.
6. Efficient provision of copy Medical Records when requested by external parties.
7. Ensure patient administration system (PAS) records are updated on a timely basis.
8. Ensure all patient notes are tracked correctly using appropriate methods.
9. Undertake ad-hoc analysis and projects as requested.
10. Ensure reporting deadlines are met within agreed timescales.
