Overview
You will be responsible for the whole employee lifecycle, partnering with internal clients across the business and at all levels of seniority in a standalone position. The role will comprise of operational generalist HR work, employee relations and performance management along with involvement in strategic project work.
You will report into the Finance Director and will work closely with the Payroll & HR Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide a comprehensive advisory, strategic, ER and HR support service to the business and employees.
* Coach and partner with line managers and act as the next level of escalation for people matters.
* Provide input to, and support of, the HR Strategy and assist with progress reporting.
* Create and send contracts for new starters and manage the right to work and referencing process.
* Coordinate development initiatives within the business in conjunction with L&D providers.
* Support the annual performance, bonus and salary review process in conjunction with leadership.
* Provide advice and manage process for family friendly policies.
* Support line managers in the managing probationary periods and performance matters.
* Provide case management for employee relations issues.
* Monitor and update HR policies in line with best practice. Ensure HR matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal requirements.
* Manage the leaver process.
* Produce HR reports as required.
* Prepare documentation for employee changes.
* Lead and manage various people initiatives in line with the people communications.
Requirements
* CIPD qualified
* Good knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice
* Commercial awareness and understanding of how HR contributes to the wider business
* strategy
* Ideally knowledge of Cascade HRIS
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills including being able to draft documents with grammatical accuracy.
* Confident communicator with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels
* Excellent organisation skills and the ability to co-ordinate and manage people, events and data
* Able to exercise sound judgement and challenge appropriately
* Able to cope with conflicting demands, prioritise duties and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
* Able to ensure discretion is exercised when dealing with sensitive information and enquiries and to ensure confidentiality is maintained at all times
* Ideally an understanding of service based sales business.
