Manager, Clinical Operations Performance - Trial Operations Analytics

Supporting that ambition, Global Clinical Operations (GCO) is the single-largest functional group with the GSK Development organization, with approx. 2,000 permanent people in the US, UK, Europe and India. We accelerate clinical trials by innovative planning and high-quality data generation, to deliver GSK's pipeline for patients. This Manager, Clinical Operations Performance role is key to support the delivery of the development portfolio by robustly defining and tracking upper quartile performance against industry benchmarks and supporting Global Clinical Operations by running performance analysis required to manage the organization. Key responsibilities:
* Translate business problems into requirements for analytical tech solutions
* Act as a Clin Ops Control Tower Business Product Manager
* Maintain GCO KPI definitions and the publication of their progress
* Bring KPIs to business functions to foster performance and productivity dialogues
* Utilize data analysis to identify and implement technological, process, and organizational enhancements aimed at improving performance and boosting overall productivity
* Support development and deployment of GCO Performance Framework across the organization
* Drive development and deployment of innovative project focused on business performance and productivity enhancement
Finally, this role will also help the Director Clinical Performance to draft and deploy the GCO Performance Management Framework.
The ideal candidate for this position is enthusiastic about enhancing clinical operations and study delivery performance and productivity through data utilization. A solid background in data analytics and its application for informed decision-making is essential. The candidate should have experience in executing clinical trials at the country, regional, or global level and possess a deep understanding of the clinical operations business.
Job Purpose
In this role you will:
Collaborate with VPs and Leadership Teams
* Define, implement, and track KPIs and measures for upper quartile delivery.
* Implement the operational data strategy for their departments.
Enhance Recommendations
* Recommend technological, process, and organizational enhancements to improve performance and productivity.
Report on Pipeline Delivery
* Collate required reporting to provide visibility of pipeline delivery progress to the Research & Development organization.
Translate Business Problem
* Translate business problems into requirements for the Trial Operations Analytics team to ensure near real-time data availability for clinical trials, programs, and Clinical Operations performance delivery.
Support Performance Management Framework
* Support the Director Clinical Performance in drafting and deploying the GCO Performance Management Framework for clinical trials planning and execution.
Support Data Analysis and Analytics
* Act as Control Tower Business Manager and drive development.
* Proactively connect and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities.
* Provide analytics support for developing business cases, setting strategies, and driving change.
* Partner with business operations, Finance, and Tech for continuous improvement of management capabilities and tools.
* Drive innovative projects to enhance business performance and productivity.

Basic Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
* Bachelor's degree in business, math or science-related field + extensive experience in executing clinical trials at the country, regional, or global level within Pharmaceutical, Biotech or CRO.
* Robust knowledge of clinical development for Pharma and Vaccines and clinical operations business, as well as understanding of the data sources, roles, functions, resources, cost, performance and quality drivers required to deliver the portfolio.
* Experience in deployment of global processes and technology in clinical operations.
* Demonstrated ability to connect and analyse data and leverage it to inform sound business decisions; strong analytical skills with ability to synthesize data (source, consolidate and mine data) and create robust visualizations of data to convey messages.
* Excellent communication & skills, with strong influencing skills at all levels; ability to interact with a range of functions, cultures and styles to gather and interpret data.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where data requests are sometimes needed on very short notice.
