1:1 Learning Support Assistant required near Scarborough
WorkwithSchools are working with a further education establishment near Scarborough to urgently find two learning support assistants for part-time roles. Initially temporary, it is likely these roles will last until the end of the year, and there may be a possibility of a fixed-term permanent contract arising.
Both roles are to provide 1:1 support for one autistic young adult requiring general learning support and one young adult who requires constant 1:1 supervision and learning support. The ideal candidate will have previous experience providing special needs support.
You will need to be available from Monday, 11th of September for three days of induction (Mon-Wed). After this, the regular hours for one role will be Wed, Thurs, and Fri full days, and for the other will be Tues 9-11 am, Wed, Thurs, and Fri full days. Due to the immediate nature of these roles, it will be a bonus if you are already registered with us or have an Enhanced DBS registered with the Online Update Service.
Please note that you will need to provide your own transport, but there is the possibility of some travel expenses.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all WorkwithSchools staff to share this commitment.
All applicants are required to provide two references. We will also require successful applicants to undertake an Enhanced Criminal Records check via the DBS if you do not already have one registered with the DBS Online Update Service before commencing assignments.
