We are looking for a Credit Manager to join our innovative and strategic Credit Risk team. In this role, you will maximize credit terms across our customer accounts and work with the Credit Analyst to manage and mitigate risks. This is a service-driven role, supporting our sales team in growing the business both locally and internationally.
Responsibilities:
* Proactively collaborate with sales and customers to maximize credit terms, ensuring needs and expectations are met.
* Work with the Sales Director to explore new options for providing more extensive credit solutions.
* Support and collaborate with the AP/AR Manager to manage the credit control team, minimizing overdue invoices and reducing DSO.
* Build relationships with customers' CFOs and FDs to evaluate risks.
* Develop a strong working relationship with the Commercial Director, advising on potential risks and escalating issues as needed.
* Provide credit availability updates and credit exposure reports to the senior leadership team.
* Manage credit control resources and suppliers.
* Gather relevant information on customers to make informed credit decisions.
* Manage the credit risk register.
* Liaise with credit insurance and supply chain partners.
* Resolve internal and external queries efficiently.
* Ensure all invoices are accurately issued and customer payments processed.
* Keep all customer call history up to date in NetSuite.
* Attend client sites as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
* FCICM qualification or equivalent experience.
* Minimum of 5 years' credit management experience.
* Experience in credit control is advantageous.
* Experience working in IT distribution or IT reseller environments, with good knowledge of IT reseller customers, preferred.
* Service-oriented with a proactive attitude and strong relationship-building skills.
* Analytical, detail-oriented, with strong research skills.
* Organized team player who performs well under pressure.
* Confident, approachable, proactive, and solution-focused.
