We have a rare and exciting progression opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to join our Serious Personal Injury Team. Scope of the Role: The jobholder will deliver excellent levels of client service throughout the progression of the case and will keep the client regularly updated, in line with department service level agreements. They will also provide assistance to Fee Earners and Team Leaders in order to improve efficiency of Fee Earning staff. Key Responsibilities: Liaising with clients on behalf of Fee Earners To managing own task list effectively, ensuring that deadlines are met Assist Fee Earners with a range of tasks as necessary, such as assisting with drafting and collation of documents, ensuring initial documents are signed and correct, administration tasks, liaising with medical agency to arrange medical appointments as necessary Holding/attending telephone conferences between legal staff and third parties Explaining legal process/court documents/medical reports to clients and/or carers Attending conferences with counsel/court Providing regular updates to client/third parties Assisting with the recovery of costs/settlements from third parties Supports Manager’s role by completing any requests or work when requested Any other tasks as directed by Manager or Fee Earner Ideal Candidate: Will have prior experience working as a Paralegal, ideally within a Personal Injury Department. Previous experience using a case management system, ideally Proclaim Have a 'can do', positive attitude and willingness to help others Why Optimal?
