About The Role
The Project and Delivery Lead will play a pivotal role in transforming the project and delivery management team within the core systems department. This leadership position is crucial for driving the successful delivery of complex projects, enhancing operational efficiency, and upholding the highest standards of project management excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute project strategies that align with business objectives.
* Team Development: Mentor and inspire the team to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
* Cross-Functional Coordination: Oversee projects across business units for seamless integration.
* Risk & Resource Management: Monitor progress, identify risks with mitigation plans, and optimize resource allocation.
* Best Practices & Efficiency: Establish project management standards, drive automation, and improve operational productivity.
* Budget & Cost Control: Manage budgets, track spending, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
* Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary liaison to communicate project status, issues, and achievements.
* Performance & Continuous Improvement: Use data to drive performance enhancements and refine processes.
* Third-Party & Security Oversight: Manage supplier performance, ensure SLAs are met, and collaborate with security teams.
* Technical Proficiency & Reporting: Leverage advanced project tools and maintain up-to-date progress reports and quarterly roadmaps.
Key Requirements
* Experience: At least 7 years of experience in project management, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role, with a proven track record of delivering technical large-scale projects.
* Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and guide teams to success.
* Project Management Expertise: In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices, with proficiency in project management software tools. Agile project management experience is desirable.
* Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Strong strategic thinker with analytical and decision-making abilities, capable of handling complex situations and tight deadlines.
* Resilience and Adaptability: Ability to work effectively under pressure, adapt to changing circumstances, and maintain a positive and proactive approach.
* Technical Project Management: Proven bottom-up delivery of complex, multi-system technical projects including varying integrations, ideally in the IT ops and services environment.
