The job itself
A permanent full-time vacancy has arisen in the Member Services department within the Pensions Section based in Goole due to internal promotion.
Experience in the administration of the Local Government Pension Scheme and the ability to understand complex legislation and terminology are essential.
Applicants must have good organisational skills, be able to work on their own initiative and be able to work as part of a team. Good communication skills are essential as the section strives to provide a high level of service to our members.
The Section uses an IT based Local Government Pension Scheme administration system in conjunction with an electronic document management system (EDMS) and electronic workflow monitoring together with word and excel packages. It is essential to have good IT skills and a good standard of education including Maths and English.
