Pitlochry Depot
As part of a team, you will perform maintenance tasks throughout the Pitlochry area such as grass and hedge cutting, pesticide application, and litter collection. You should have a horticultural background with good plant knowledge.
You may also be required to carry out other duties such as assisting with burials, street sweeping, refuse collection, and any other Environment Service's tasks as needed.
You must be able to carry out the physical demands of the post and complete paperwork associated with the role, such as timesheets, work schedules, and maintenance records.
A working knowledge and experience of computers/smartphones would also be beneficial.
The Environment Service has moved from traditional Mon-Fri shift patterns; this post follows a Wednesday to Saturday week 1, Thursday to Saturday week 2 working pattern.
A Cat C1E driving licence is essential, with a current CPC being desirable. You must have a valid C1E driving licence as this post requires you to travel to various locations across Perth and Kinross.
The Individual
To be successful in this role, you will be physically fit and prepared to walk while carrying/moving loads over rough ground in all weathers. You will have a strong constitution regarding adverse odours and may be required to work overtime.
