If you're someone who loves a bit of variety and isn't afraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in, this could be a great fit.
This role isn't your standard CAD desk job. Yes, there's plenty of drawing involved - but you'll also be building prototypes, supporting testing, and even helping shape the way products move from design into full production. You'll work across several departments, learning loads as you go and making a real difference to how products are developed, documented, and delivered.
The team are friendly, the work is interesting, and there's a lot of scope to grow your skills - especially if you've got a curiosity about how things are made and improved.
What you'll be doing:
1. Creating and updating CAD drawings (SolidWorks or CREO)
2. Building and testing prototypes to ISO standards
3. Managing product data and structures in the ERP system (Movex M3)
4. Assisting with the development of a product configurator
5. Creating documentation - data sheets, price lists, IFUs, P&IDs, rendered images
6. Supporting the smooth handover of new designs into manufacturing
7. Helping improve processes, tools, fixtures and safety procedures
What they're looking for:
1. Some hands-on CAD experience (SolidWorks, CREO - or both)
2. Familiarity with BoMs, routings and engineering documentation
3. Someone who's proactive, organised and likes solving problems
4. A willingness to get involved in both the design and practical sides of engineering
Why this role?
1. It's varied - no two days will be the same
2. You'll work closely with R&D, Engineering, Product and Production teams
3. You'll get a chance to help shape new products and improve old ones
4. Loads of learning opportunities, especially for someone who's keen to develop
Perfect for someone who wants more than just sitting behind a screen all day. If you enjoy design, but also like seeing things come to life on the shop floor - this could be right up your street. #J-18808-Ljbffr
