PolyPhotonix is a well-established business specialising in bio-photonic research and development that designs, develops and manufactures non-invasive photonics based medical devices.
The company has developed the Noctura 400 Sleep Mask, a light based, monitored ophthalmic treatment for Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) and Diabetic Macular Oedema (DMO), which are the principal causes of blindness.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our company as Clinical Operations Manager.
This permanent and full-time role is ideally suited to a team player with a good understanding of the eye mechanism, in particular Diabetic Eye disease.
Working hours are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm on Friday.
The main focus of this role is around clinical trials and evaluations, KOL engagement, commercialisation, market access, clinical adoption and reimbursement in a number of countries including USA, Asia Pacific, GCC, and South America in addition to the UK working with the NHS, in private hospitals and retail healthcare settings.
Key responsibilities:
* Design and delivery of clinical trials and evaluations (when required)
* Clinical meetings and presentations to healthcare professionals
* Author content for marketing, briefing notes, presentations and publications
* Development of supporting materials and delivery of training for sales teams and Healthcare Professionals
* Market access activities – understanding landscape, care pathways, identification and engagement with decision makers, reimbursement mechanisms
* Lead FDA strategy and activity (when the business is ready)
* Support relationship building, training and sales strategies with partner companies
* Support and contribute to the business needs as required.
* Support business plan objectives for revenue and growth
Essential skills and experience:
* Experience working within optometry/optician/ophthalmology environment
* Feels comfortable speaking and presenting to patients and healthcare professionals
* Proficient in Microsoft Packages to intermediate level (Outlook, Word, Power Point and Excel spreadsheets).
* Enjoys working in a team environment and share information freely.
* Self-starter with strong personal motivation and flexible attitude.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
* Experience of NHS Part IX drug tariff, prescribing formularies, ICB/ICS engagement, diabetic eye screening, GP practices, would be an advantage.
* Commercial experience in Ophthalmology medical devices or a related field would be an advantage.
* Knowledge of NICE pathways for high-cost drugs and low cost medical devices would be an advantage.
Skills and experience preferred but not essential:
* Speaking another language such as French or Spanish would be beneficial but is not a requirement.
Licence:
* Due to the location of the office and possible business travel within the UK, a driving licence is recommended.
