We are looking for a passionate individual to join our team in Edinburgh. The role is ideally suited to an individual with experience of being involved in the delivery of non-domestic projects performing the role of Building Physics Engineer / Consultant.
The preferred candidate will have excellent knowledge of the key factors that impact on building energy performance including fabric design, thermal bridging, ventilation, airtightness, overheating, heating and hot water solutions, and renewable technology.
The candidate should also have a very good understanding of Climate Change / Net Zero guidance by organisations such as LETI and UKGBC and how to apply the guidance to building performance.
Experience
1. Experience of using IES VE software
2. Climate Based Daylight Modelling
3. CIBSE TM52, TM54, TM59
4. LZCGT Feasibility Studies
5. Building Regulations Compliance
6. Experience of producing IES VE simulations and effectively communicating results
7. Experience of analysing and understanding the energy performance of buildings
8. Experience of delivering new-build and retrofit projects
9. Experience of operating within the construction sector
10. Good understanding of embodied / whole life carbon
11. Good understanding of the Passivhaus standard
12. Good understanding of detailed construction drawings
13. Good understanding of mechanical & electrical building services design
14. Good understanding of low and zero carbon generating technologies
