Senior Web/Digital Analyst Job Description We are looking for a Senior Web Analyst to join the eCommerce Data team, based from NEXT Head Office in Enderby, Leicestershire. Let’s talk numbers. The Data Team enables the department and the business to elevate understanding of customer behaviours and sales performance - what is working and what is not by articulating actionable insights from complex data. About the Role As a Senior Web Analyst, you’ll work to understand on-site visitor behaviour & experiences, and highlight profit opportunities to the business. Analysing digital product development, sales performance, customer journey and testing strategies while exploring new opportunities/strategies. You’ll be at the forefront of overseeing and interpreting online and customer data to drive strategic decisions and enhance online customer experiences. So what does this mean day-to-day for you as a Senior Web Analyst at NEXT, specifically? • Working with the relevant ecommerce teams (Online trading, CRO, UX development teams) to improve sales and conversion for Web and App. • Delivering actionable insights from identifying sales opportunities through continuous review of site developments, AB Testing campaigns and commercial performance. • Defining key metrics and evaluating performance of digital product features and dev initiatives. • Analysing user journeys across the website, identifying pain points and opportunities and recommending enhancements to improve user experience. • Tracking and analysing website metrics using SQL to query Google Analytics data in Google BigQuery. • Presenting complex analytical findings into clear, concise reports and presentations that communicate actionable recommendations to a range of audiences. • Interrogating large volumes of data from a range of sources, including customer, transactional online. What we're looking for • Ability to communicate often complex data and insights in simple language to individuals and groups of people, and hone in on key findings, and clearly and succinctly answer the “so what?” question. • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and to meet tight deadlines. • Ability to interpret and translate business requirements into a measurement brief. • Experience working with web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics 4, Adobe Analytics, Contentsquare). • Experience extracting and manipulating data from denormalised sources using SQL and Biq Query. • Confident using Google Sheets and Slides to manipulate and present data. Preferred experience • Familiarity with Web Analytics implementation and debugging methods. • Knowledge of fundamental statistical & data mining techniques including correlation, significance testing and regression. • Familiarity with onsite A/B testing. • Familiarity with session tracking and customer journey mapping. • Ability to extract and manipulate data from multiple data sources. • Experience working on an ecommerce site. • Experience working across the retail or fashion industry. • Knowledge of how to measure the impact of digital marketing campaigns You’ll be doing all this from our Head Office in Leicester (minimum 2-3 days in the office per week).
