If you are a talented engineer with a passion for driving and developing new manufacturing techniques and technologies, then this could be the ideal role for you!
You will support and lead investments into new manufacturing equipment and processes and develop the business case for new investments. You will have the chance to realize projects from concept to reality and work on new robotics and automation processes.
Day-to-day of the role:
1. Challenge current and new manufacturing techniques to enhance and broaden capabilities.
2. Develop business cases for new investments and existing process modifications.
3. Contribute to the investment strategy and realize investment projects from concept to reality.
4. Manage projects in line with company methods and principles.
5. Liaise with suppliers and work with the Capex team where appropriate.
6. Facilitate the handover of new processes to production, ensuring all stakeholders gain the relevant level of knowledge.
7. Monitor savings and cost levels for new investments or improvement activities.
8. Drive data-driven manufacturing through strategic investments.
9. Establish initial process capability baselines and contribute to the continuous improvement of project management competence.
10. Expect some international travel.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
1. HND/Degree in an engineering discipline.
2. Proven experience leading projects and/or work packages.
3. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.
4. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
5. IT literacy, with an interest in IoT and digitalisation.
Desirable: 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment, knowledge of project management methods (Prince2, Agile, Scrum), experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing, and experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
