Job overview
The post holder will undertake the monitoring, recording, and booking of appointments, manage a busy telephone line, receive all incoming mail, ensure action is taken appropriately, and process clinical letters and other correspondence, alongside a wide range of administrative duties.
You will work in conjunction with other team members, ensuring administrative support is available to all members of the Hub. This will include liaison with multi-disciplinary team members, other health professionals, GPs, social workers, service users, and other appropriate agencies.
It is essential that applicants are able to work on their own initiative and demonstrate effective organisational and administrative skills.
Main duties of the job
Provide an efficient service to the Community Mental Health Team, ensuring that all enquiries and booking requests are processed in a timely and efficient manner under circumstances of minimal supervision.
Assist in the booking of outpatient appointments within the Community Mental Health Team with guidance from the Admin Lead and Team Manager. The post holder will assist in the development of a smooth-running appointment booking system for new and existing patients within the service. The post holder will ensure effective communication pathways exist in a manner that positively reflects the values of the organisation.
Person specification
Essential criteria
* NVQ Level 2 Receptionist or Administration qualification, or currently working towards or RSA 2 in a relevant administrative subject.
* English to GCSE Grade C, or equivalent.
* Previous Administration experience.
* Experience of working with the general public.
* Understanding of Data Protection Act/Confidentiality.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Meet the trust values (Compassion, Inclusive & Committed).
Desirable criteria
* Knowledge of Trust Policies and Procedures.
