Our client is one of Europe's largest fuel storage businesses, also expanding into Solar and Hydrogen plants.
They are now seeking a Commercial Enquiry Development Engineering Lead who will be flexible to travel throughout the UK.

This role provides technical leadership to the commercial team and oversees the continuous development of engineering processes and standards in line with the organisation's values & strategic model. The role will champion improvements to the organisation's processes & culture to continually enhance leadership, communication, and collaboration. This role demands strong leadership, technical expertise, commercial insight, and excellent communication skills to ensure customer satisfaction, team development, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Customer Enquiry Management: Oversee the receipt and analysis of customer enquiries, ensuring all technical and commercial requirements are met.
* Pricing and Quotation Strategy: Develop and approve accurate and competitive pricing strategies based on customer specifications and market conditions. Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) Oversight.
* Technical Support: Provide high-level technical support to customers throughout the enquiry and bidding process.
* Documentation and Reporting: Ensure accurate records of customer enquiries, pricing decisions, and FEED study outcomes are maintained.
Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related field). Chartered Engineer with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a similar role within the engineering or manufacturing industry with a strong understanding of engineering principles and practices. Proven experience in pricing and cost estimation is essential along with proficiency in engineering design software and tools, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills. Financial acumen, budget setting, and a full driving licence are required.
In order to succeed in the role, you will need an understanding of project management processes, hydrocarbon, chemical storage, handling legislation & guidance, and process safety awareness, along with knowledge of PSSR, PSR, PER, DSEAR, PUWER, and COMAH.
