We are seeking an enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Bradford on a full-time basis. You will have the opportunity to shape the way students understand the world around them, from physical landscapes to human geography, making a lasting impact on their educational journey.
Requirements:
1. QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or PGCE in Geography or a relevant subject.
2. Experience teaching Geography at the secondary level is preferred but not essential for exceptional candidates.
3. An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
4. Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering student engagement and achievement.
5. A passion for Geography and a desire to bring the subject to life for students.
Key Responsibilities:
6. Deliver engaging and effective Geography lessons to students in KS3 and KS4.
7. Plan, prepare, and mark student's work, ensuring progression and achievement.
8. Create an inclusive learning environment that supports the diverse needs of students.
9. Foster student's curiosity and encourage independent thinking through innovative teaching methods.
10. Participate in departmental meetings, school-wide activities, and professional development sessions.
11. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and respectful learning atmosphere.
