Drytec Spray Drying Ltd, one of the UK's leading dry powder manufacturers, is looking for an experienced Quality & Compliance Manager.
The successful applicant will be required to take full ownership of the company’s Quality & Compliance requirements, ensuring the business produces spray dried products to our client’s specifications. Undertake regular internal audits and coordinate with our customers' external auditors to ensure the highest production standards are being met and maintained.
As part of the senior management team working in our Tonbridge (Kent) factory, we would like our Q&C Manager to be heavily involved with our production standards and maintain a high-quality standard of product production and delivery.
Responsibilities
1. Take control of the company’s Quality & Compliance requirements.
2. Oversee and maintain our ISO9001-2015 systems.
3. Monitor and maintain production and quality standards to the highest levels.
4. Investigate all manufacturing incidents or non-conformances as they relate to the quality or integrity of the manufacturing process. Together with the Operations Manager and Technical Manager, identify root causes and implement the necessary corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.
5. Take responsibility for the investigation of all customer complaints or incidents; identify root causes and corrective actions and provide report(s) back to the customers as appropriate.
6. Maintain regular communications with Shop Floor personnel providing feedback on quality performance. Support and, from time to time, deliver the monthly briefings to plant personnel. Identify and manage Drytec's supplier quality assurance and verification procedures. Define and carry out audits on suppliers as required.
7. Carry out regular internal audits & inspections to ensure policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
8. Lead in-house training with managers and employees regarding quality and compliance requirements.
9. Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed and provide guidance to employees.
10. Support all functions of the business to work together.
11. Assist in making important policy, planning, and strategy decisions.
12. Develop, implement and review operational policies and procedures.
13. Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
14. Oversee our internal Laboratory and staff.
Quality & Compliance Manager Requirements
1. Experience in Management and Quality & Compliance is essential.
2. Full understanding of ISO 9001-2015, Kosher, Halal and GMP standards.
3. Excellent Communication Skills, both written and verbal.
4. Strong Problem-Solving Skills.
5. Understanding and experience of laboratory analysis.
