SEN Teaching Assistant – Ofsted Rated 'Good' School Are you an SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a supportive school ? This role will involve working closely with a Year 9 pupil with SEN, providing tailored support to meet their individual learning and developmental needs. Previous experience of supporting those with SEMH would be desirable. You will play a key role in helping the pupil build confidence, improve engagement, and achieve their potential in both academic and social aspects of school life. Job Role: Supporting the Class Teacher in delivering engaging lessons tailored to individual student needs. Assisting children with SEN, ensuring they can access the National Curriculum in KS3 Providing 1:1 or small group support, helping to develop confidence and independence. Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment within the school Supporting with classroom management and behaviour strategies. Working closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs). Required Skills and Experience: Experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant in a primary school. A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent. Strong understanding of the KS3 curriculum Knowledge of safeguarding policies, including Prevent Duty and FGM awareness. Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
