Job summary Salaried GP Cruddas Park Surgery Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 7JT Cruddas Park Surgery are excited to recruit a Salaried GP for six sessions (negotiable). The post would offer a new challenge to an established GP or the opportunity to flourish as a newly qualified GP. Consulting at Cruddas Park is GP first with an emphasis on face-to-face consulting prioritising relational continuity. The successful applicant would work as a member of a 4 partner and 7 salaried GP team supported by a skilled and diverse multidisciplinary team including The Space, a novel one stop multidisciplinary approach to addressing mental illness. Employment is subject to the terms of the BMA contract at £12,000 per session inclusive of paid CPD time and 6 weeks holiday pro rata. Duty rota is allocated pro rata and there is shared use of our practice electric car for home visiting. We have a clear desk policy for holidays and active social calendar including a running club. Main duties of the job The post-holder will manage a patient based caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients. As a member of the team and one of the employers they will be expected to set an example to others, assist in education and training and to play a full role in target achievement and service development. Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation. Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
