Bowfield Hotel & Spa in Howwood is seeking a General Manager to join the team – an integral leadership position in the popular countryside hotel.
Located in Howwood, just 15 minutes from Glasgow Airport, bustling Bowfield is much more than a hotel! Our Health Club provides a premium quality wellbeing experience for its members, AURA Spa is a rejuvenating space for day and hotel guests, and our restaurant, bar and café is visited for many occasions. There are also hotel rooms, 10 lodges with hot tubs, a children’s soft play, and function suites that host many weddings and events.
As such, Bowfield is a consistently busy venue that demands high standards of guest experience in all areas, at all times and we are now looking for a General Manager who can take things to the next level.
The role is ideal for someone who relishes a challenge, can think on their feet and enjoys a fast pace. Responsibilities:
* Lead, guide and coach the excellent team we have in venue, working daily to offer support and guidance.
* Work closely with the Managing Director and Support Team to continuously seek little improvements that make a big difference.
* Deliver exceptional guest service and ensure standards remain high.
* Manage the day-to-day operation of the venue.
We value General Managers who are active in the operation, visible in the venue and will, where necessary, work alongside their team, leading by example. The need to be occasionally operational is balanced with the more strategic and managerial aspects of the role.
The position would particularly suit a General Manager that has experience of working in a venue with leisure/spa experiences, as this is a key aspect of Bowfield.
