The Department of Clinical Psychology & Neuropsychology at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust serves patients on adult and paediatric medical and surgical pathways, within a biopsychosocial model, dealing with mild to profound injury, illness and disability, undertaking highly specialist assessment, formulation, and intervention. This is an exciting opportunity for appropriately qualified Clinical Psychologists with experience in adult neuropsychology. This temporary post is to cover a period of leave at Linden Lodge Neuro-Rehabilitation unit. Main duties of the job The clinical activity will be with people with acute or chronic neurological conditions and highly complex clinical needs, primarily inpatient. The successful candidate will work alongside the Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology team and provide neuropsychological opinion to the team based on specialist assessment and formulation. They will also deliver neuropsychological intervention for psychological adjustment or cognitive rehabilitation and help the MDT address the psycho-social needs of patients. The successful candidate will receive regular clinical supervision. They will be appointed under the Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology Department at Nottingham University Hospitals Trust, based at the Queens Medical Centre Campus. This position will involve additional contributions to the department, such as the supervision of Clinical Psychologists in training, clinical governance activities, research and service development. Candidates must be registered with the HCPC as a Clinical Psychologist and eligible to be charted as a Psychologist with the BPS.
